Dubai as it used to be in around 1967-1970

In 1967 Sheikh Rashid awarded a contract for constructing Port Rashid to Costains - a UK Construction Companies. Costains kept a film record of Port Rashid's construction. This film was not shown publicly. It was used to impress potential Clients.

Clip is from a video recording of a recent film showing of the recovered and restored film. Hence the flickering, poor sound and noise from the 8mm film projector. BUT you'll see Dubai Creek as it used to be, ships being unloaded offshore into barges, which was how Dubai operated before Port Rashid. Uniquely you will see Sheikh Rashid signing the contract for Port Rashid's construction in 1967.
