Sheikh Saeed's Palace and Port Rashid

By 1985 Port Rashid had developed from a local port into a major international trans-shipment port. Sheikh Saeed's Palace meanwhile had continued to deteriorate and fall into a derelict ruin. Some of Shindaga's Windtowers were still in place but soon to be demolished to paradoxically make way for the Shindaga Heritage Village.
