    HMY Britannia was escorted by the UAE Navy. Dubai Defense Force provided a Guard of Honour for Queen Elizabeth. In the background is British India's MV Dwarka. Dwarka and Dumra provided a regular passenger service between India and the Gulf. Most of the itinerant workers traveled to and from the home countries on these ships.
