Dubai as it used to be: The First Jet Ski

Dubai's Water Sports in the mid 1970s featured water sking in Dubai Creek, Diving and Sailing. Gray Mackenzie and Company imported Dubai's first Jet Ski - a Kawasaki. The Jet Ski was "as described"! An oversized ski board with a water jet unit attached. This Kawasaki Jet Ski provided water borne entertainment for Gray Mackenzie's staff but was never promoted commercially. In the following photographs , the late Lord Inchcape then Chairman of the Inchcape Group of Companies (which included Gray Mackenzie and Co) has a lesson on how to use a Jet Ski in the safest way possible - on dry land!
